POLICE DEPARTMENT - STROUD AREA REGIONAL POLICE

On May 1, 2000 the Stroudsburg Police Department, along with the Stroud Township Police and East Stroudsburg Police formed one regional department.

The new Department, which is the largest regional department (in terms of number of police officers) in Pennsylvania, is a merger of the existing East Stroudsburg Borough, Stroudsburg Borough and Stroud Township Police Departments. The web address of the Regional Police Department is www.sarpd.com.

Headquarters for the new Police Department is located at 100 Day Street, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. The mailing address for the Regional Police Commission which governs the Department is: SARPC, PO Box 384, East Stroudsburg, PA 18301. 

The main office telephone number for all police matters in Stroud Township, East Stroudsburg Borough, and Stroudsburg Borough is (570) 421-6800. If you want a hassle free way to get confidential information, concerns and issues in your community to the Police Department you may utilize their new "TIP LINE". That phone number is (570) 424-7002. Please do not contact the municipal buildings regarding police calls, we cannot help you. You must contact the police department directly. STROUDSBURG FIRE DEPARTMENT

The Stroudsburg Fire Department consists of 2 departments, Chemical Fire Co. and Phoenix Fire Co. They are located at the corner of Seventh and Sarah Streets. You can now access the fire department's web page at www.stroudsburgfire.com.

The Fire Chief is Todd Martin and the two Assistant Fire Chiefs are Mike Seip and John Stevens.
