Borough Council Special Meeting
Wednesday,
November 17, 2010 – 6:00 PM
- Call
Meeting to Order/Roll Call: President Kim Diddio called the meeting to order
at 6:02 pm. Borough Manager
Barbara Quarantello called roll. Present
were President Diddio, Council Members Joanne Kochanski, Eric Scelza, Matt
Abell, and Boyd Weiss. Absent
were Vice President Neil Allen and Council Member Jeff Ewen.
Also present was Mayor Charles Baughman.
- Pledge
of Allegiance was recited.
- Discussion
of a proposed amendment to the Borough Zoning Ordinance adding a new “MU”,
Mixed Use Zoning District, in the northeast part of the Borough and to add
additional landscaping requirements: Mr.
Wilkins stated that both ordinances being discussed tonight were sent to the
County Planning Commission for their feedback.
Council will wait until the County’s comments are received and then
forward them to our Planning Commission before taking any action on either
ordinance.
- Discussion
of a proposed amendment to the Borough Zoning Ordinance establishing a new
C-2-O, Central Commercial Overlay District, along a portion of Main Street
- Public
Input/Comments: Consensus of the
public comments is that both ordinances are needed to solve the borough’s
long term issues regarding redevelopment and parking.
Michael Baxter requested a meeting be set to address the short term
parking problems in the borough.

pm.
